Business US 51S (Veterans Ave.) on the East Side from Huebinger Lane to Doctor’s Blvd
Beginning November 02, 2025, a Planned Boil Water Advisory is in effect for the area. A Tangipahoa Water District contractor will be working on a repair on an existing main line (8”) main. Due to the length of time of the repair and in abundance of caution for the area and PAM Specialty Hospital, we will be issuing a Boil Water advisory.
All customers in the listed area should follow the Limited Precautionary Boil Advisory. Out of the abundance of caution and in accordance with the Louisiana Department of Health regulation, a limited precautionary boil advisory is in place.
This BOIL ADVISORY is to remain in effect until rescinded by Tangipahoa Water District. It is recommended that all customers disinfect their water before consuming it (including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, or using for food preparation or rinsing of food by the following means:
Boil water for {1} full minute in a clean container. The one-minute starts after the water has been brought to a rolling boil. (The flat taste can be eliminated by shaking the water in a clean bottle, pouring it from one clean container to another, or by adding a small pinch of salt to each quart of water that is boiled.)
Tangipahoa Water District will rescind the Boil Advisory upon notification from the Louisiana Department of Health - Office of Public Health that additional water samples collected from our water supply system have shown our water to be safe.
Customers affected by this advisory will be advised when it is rescinded. Notices will be posted on the Tangipahoa Water District Website and social media sites. If you have any questions, please call Tangipahoa Water District at 985-345-6457.
